A lot is new at The Q this season as the Cavs formally unveil the original expression of wine and gold colors, cool new uniforms, a new court design plus a multi-million dollar expansion and redesign of the Cavaliers Team Shop.
The new Cavaliers Team Shop has expanded to a two-story, 5,700 square foot (from 3,200 sq. ft.)
distinctive retail space that is now one of the largest in the NBA. Contemporary in design and function, the store represents the Cavaliers brand by capturing the energy, excitement and fun of the fan experience. Fans can find the largest selection and exclusive product lines for the Cavaliers and AHL Lake Erie Monsters for men, women, youth and infants. Cool technology like hand-held point-of-sale scanners will allow sales associates to check out customers anywhere in the store. A scaled-down working replica of the arena’s huge center-hung video scoreboard, “Q-Tube” is the focal point of the Team Shop. It has four 65” LCD screens to beam live game video feeds, graphic content, scores and statistic during games so fans will not miss any of the action when shopping.
“Creating an environment where our fans are having a great time and are also a part of the energy and momentum of what’s taking place with the team and the organization is a huge part of our success,” said Len Komoroski, Cavaliers and Quicken Loans Arena president. “To call us ‘fan-centric’ would be absolutely accurate! We are in constant forward motion to take the fan experience to a higher level, every season and every game.”
The Cavaliers award-winning game presentation makes attending a Cavs game the best fan experience in the NBA. In-arena hosts Ahmaad and Nicole are back to keep the fun and energy going along with the Cavalier Girls, Scream Team and Cavs Kids performance—and of course the antics of mascot Moondog keeps everyone on their toes. Throughout the season, an impressive lineup of halftime acts and national anthem singers, great video features, on-court promotions, interactive contests and games are what makes attending Cavs games fun-filled and create the well-known electric atmosphere at The Q.
Fans can count on fabulous giveaways and special theme nights throughout the season, along with free concourse activities for the whole family like hair and face painting, sign making, interactive games, music and special performances. For great dining, Food Network star Michael Symon’s two branded locations at Quicken Loans Arena, the popular “B Spot,” and “Bar Symon” are open for business and have added new menu items to celebrate both establishments’ second season with the Cavs!
